Below is the progress achieved under each of the Project components: Component 1: School census data collection strategy -- The diagnostic of the existing data collection processes for the school census was completed using the SABER EMIS methodology. Component 2: MENFP M&E system strengthening strategy – The diagnostic of the current statistical infrastructure, information management processes, and data utilization practices in the MENFP was completed using the SABER EMIS methodology. A 3-day workshop to raise awareness on the importance of an EMIS to inform decision-making and align all key stakeholders at MENFP with the Ministry's priorities took place from December 3-6, 2018. Additionally, a team of consultants are developing a roadmap to establish an effective education management information system in close collaboration with all technical directorates of the MENFP. Component 3: Implementation of the MENFP M&E system strengthening strategy – The tools to collect data on the quality of learning environments have been revised by two international consultants to reflect on lessons learned from the first year of implementation of the PEQH Project. This activity contributes directly to the strengthening of the MENFP M&E system, since by the end of the PEQH project, the SAQ is expected to be fully incorporated into the EMIS and implemented at the national level to inform decision-making.
