The operational and financial performance of the Afghanistan Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation (AUWSSC) has been steadily improving since its establishment in October, 2010. The senior management team at headquarter is in place. Heads of the six strategic business units (SBUs) of the AUWSSC have come on board. AUWSSC's organizational structure and staff job descriptions have been prepared and approved by board of directors. Consultants to provide management support and technical assistance have been appointed in June 2011. Support to strengthen AUWSSC to perform corporate activities and a calendar of activities for capacity building has commenced.
