Improvements in implementation capacity have been maintained, making this a Moderately Satisfactory project in terms of implementation progress and reaching its Project Development Objectives. Activities proposed under the TA component are progressing as agreed. One of the main outputs under the TA component is to carry out an assessment of critical sector issues in Pakistan's tertiary education. These studies will contribute to the preparation of an assessment of Pakistan's tertiary education sector and the preparation of the new Medium Term Development Framework for Higher Education (MTDF-HE III). As of May 24, 2016, the HEC has received all ten draft studies/reports prepared by a team of local consultants. These studies will finalized by end June/ early July 2016 based on the comments provided by HEC.
