Major activities are under implementation, in particular with regards to the strengthening of national and municipal DRM capacities and the construction of disaster risk reduction works at the municipal level. Communication material to increase awareness of community risk have been disseminated and community emergency committees have strengthened in 10 municipalities. In terms of disaster risk information, (i) the seismic monitoring network has been expanded, (ii) 6 telemetric stations were serviced, and (iii) a workshop on the development of municipal land-use plans took place in January 2016. Regarding the construction of disaster mitigation works, 2 additional flood and landslide mitigation works were completed in the last six months for a total of 15 civil works constructed under the Project. After some delay, the development of Monitoring and Evaluation tools, is expected to be completed by June 2016.
