Civil works activities have advanced in several counties, providing a basis for an increase in gross enrollment rates in the project counties and universities. Refined implementation plans for the innovative pilots on rural early childhood education (ECE) centers and shared parent reading have been clarified and agreed on, allowing hard-to-reach children to benefit from ECE services and quality ECE interventions.Terms of Reference for project county teacher training have been approved by the Bank, setting the stage for more teachers to get trained under the project and obtain teaching certificates.
