The legal opinion from the OECS was issued to the Bank on October 17, 2017, and the Bank issued its no-objection on October 18, 2017. The Project became effective on October 18, 2017.  A General Procurement Notice for the Project was advertised on October 23, 2017. 4/26/2019 Page 1 of 5 Public Disclosure Copy The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report Caribbean Regional Oceanscape Project (P159653)  The institutional arrangements for the Project Implementation Unit (PIU) are in place with existing OECS staff; Project Coordinator, and the Project Steering Committee (PSC) which was established on July 7, 2017 for oversight and guidance in implementation of the project.  Project was officially launched on March 5, 2018 with the participation of the 5 countries, OECS Commission and the World Bank. Total of 34 persons participated in the launch with country representatives being at the level of the Ocean Governance Team and National GEF Focal Points. The event was broadcast live on Facebook.
