The second round of 12 roads is under implementation and of 161km, about 25km have been completed. The road safety black spots improvement have started with a target to be completed by end September 2019. Activities to improve consideration of road safety activities and modernize road asset management activities have been completed and provide PESR all necessary tools to operate as a more efficient road manager. PESR has advanced the work on understanding the climate resilience of the road network under its jurisdiction (data about flood maps, frost and landslides has been added as a layer in the GIS for road asset management; site visits are carried out jointly with engineering team from PESR to landslide prone sites to discuss mitigation measures). 6/20/2019 Page 1 of 6 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report National and Regional Roads Rehabilitation (P148023) Risks Systematic Operations Risk-rating Tool Risk Category Rating at Approval Previous Rating Current Rating Political and Governance -- Moderate Moderate Macroeconomic -- Moderate Moderate Sector Strategies and Policies -- Moderate Moderate Technical Design of Project or Program -- Moderate Moderate Institutional Capacity for Implementation and Sustainability -- Moderate Moderate Fiduciary -- Moderate Moderate Environment and Social -- Low Low Stakeholders -- Low Low Other -- Moderate Moderate Overall -- Moderate Moderate Results PDO Indicators by Objectives / Outcomes Enhance the connectivity of selected national and regional roads, primarily to Corridors X and VIII IN00702829 ►Reduction in travel time for passenger cars, in percentage, along the project roads sections to be rehabilitated (Percentage, Custom) Baseline Actual (Previous) Actual (Current) End Target Value 0.00 3.82 3.82 10.00 Date 12-Mar-2014 31-May-2018 31-May-2019 30-Sep-2019 The update of this indicator will be available once the rehabilitation of the second round of roads is Comments: completed, planned for September 2019.
