The Project improved the access to food for 7.2 million people who were affected by the drought. The last cycle of IFA has been implemented with the cumulative number of households whose livelihoods have been restored reaching 87,750. The project is also enhancing drought preparedness and resilience through augmented water supply and climate smart irrigation interventions with 387,500 people (77,500 households) having access to clean water through the completed 100 boreholes in 19 districts. The project has also reached 50% of the 160,000 households expected to benefit from increased agriculture productivity. The Project has been restructured to allocate more resources to activities aiming to improve resilience building.
