The project has been restructured with a new closing date of December 31, 2023 together with a new design of the teacher training program and the institutional development grant (IDG) program. The project has been making a good progress on every activity since the restructuring. Key progress included: (i) prepared an initial draft of background paper for the Strategic Plan; (ii) Out of targeted 122 IDGs, the project has awarded IDG to 74 colleges based on a rigorous screening and selection following the Operations Manual; (iii) selected the remaining 48 colleges for awarding IDG; (iv) completed the addendum of the Partnership Agreement with University of Nottingham; (v) accelerated teacher training for master trainers and policy makers; (vi) progressed on the 7/23/2019 Page 1 of 7 The World Bank Implementation Status & Results Report College Education Development Project (P154577) renovation of facilities for teacher training; (vii) submitted a round of DLI achievement evidence; (viii) initiated the first round satisfaction survey and; (ix) revised DPP has been submitted to the Ministry of Education.
