The main consequence of the delay has been a significant lag in disbursements - about 70% of the credit is yet to be disbursed. However, with 70% of the US$ 75 million credit already committed and a further 16% to be committed before April 30, 2014, after award of Mufuchani Bridge, the project has good potential to significantly improve on disbursements. The PDO and implementation ratings after the last mission in November 2013 were S and MS respectively. With the strengthened project management by the client, the implementation rating is expected to improve to S within the planned 22 months extension of the Public Disclosure Copy closing date.
