Disbursements have reached 100% of the loan proceeds, out of which 91.2% of expenses have already been justified to the Bank. All remaining loan resources have been committed and contracted. Progress with the activities of Component 2 (Water Services) are successful as the component has surpassed the final target (22,000) of its PDO indicator of “New piped household water connections that are resulting from the project intervention” by 116%. At project closing date, those numbers are expected to increase, as many water and sanitation systems are finalizing implementation. Despite the Government efforts, at the closing date, Component 1 (Economic Inclusion) is expected to partially finalize the implementation of the 267 business plans. SDA and EMATERCE are preparing a sustainability plan for the remaining activities and informed the Bank that resources have been allocated in the 2019 budget to implement the related actions and improve the sustainability of supported investments. Component 3 (Institutional Strengthening and Project Management) has successfully finalized the planned studies, capacity building activities and institutional strength of key partners. No outstanding fiduciary issues have been identified. Rations for both, Procurement and FM, are being maintained as MS.
