Organization

On January 1, 2026, we started a new chapter as an integrated World Bank Group (WBG) Treasury.

This integration is part of the initiative of the World Bank Group to consolidate the treasuries of the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD), International Development Association (IDA), and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in a single platform to maximize value for the institutions and client countries. With respect to our market-facing activities, IBRD, IDA and IFC remain legally separate entities.

As part of this new chapter, Jorge Familiar has been appointed Vice President and World Bank Groupโ€™s Treasurer, effective January 1, 2026.

As part of the integrated WBG Treasury, the following teams serve the needs of the entire Group and support this important institutional transformation under Mr. Familiarโ€™s leadership:

  • George Richardson, WBG Capital Markets Director, oversees funding, investor relations, and innovative bond issuance.
  • Tom Ceusters, WBG Asset Management Director, manages liquidity, asset management, trust funds, and FIFs. Since May 23, 2026, he also serves as the Acting WBG Pension and Endowments Director.
  • Keshav Gaur, WBG Client Solutions Director, leads local currency solutions, FX risk management, and financial advisory to borrowers.
  • Andrea Dore, WBG Treasury Operations Director manages integrated banking operations, settlements, collateral, valuation, quantitative analysis, and financial technology.
  • Katarzyna (Kasia) Zajdel-Kurowska continues to serve as WBG Treasury Partnerships and Advisory Director, and Ricardo Tejada continues to serve as the WBG Manager of Treasury Risk, Compliance & Controls.

In addition, Mr. Familiar continues to serve as the World Bank Group's Pension Finance Administrator, a role he assumed in January 2022.
