The Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region remains one of the most energy intensive in the world, giving it ample room for improvement. Being less energy intensive is in the best interest of these countries and can be achieved by learning from those that have succeeded in this area. Ways to do this include appropriate pricing, good governance and monitoring and evaluating these programs to improve them over time.
