Honduras - Public Sector Modernization Technical Assistance Credit Project (English)

The objectives of the Public Sector Modernization Technical Assistance Credit Project are to provide: 1) policy formulation support that the government needs to design reforms under its public sector modernization program (PSMP); 2) implementation support to develop the means and information necessary for the reform process and to comply with the conditions and action plans under the public sector modernization structural adjustment credit (PSMSAC), and to modernize human resource management, financial management and public procurement systems; and 3) institutional strengthening support to the entities that will be beneficiaries of these management systems. The components of the project are the following: 1) private sector participation in public services; 2) administrative reform which encompasses institutional restructuring and the Honduran Social Security Institute and the Social Security System; 3) human resource management; 4) integrated financial management and investment programming; and 5) public procurement.
