Lack of access to water supply and sanitation (WSS) constitutes a public health, economic, and environmental emergency across the developing world. Urgent action is needed to provide sustainable urban and rural WSS services to all. To support the Coronavirus (COVID-19) response and recovery, the World Bank Group work to: (i) provide access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene to slow the spread of the coronavirus, support economic recovery, promote resilience to pandemics, and build back better; and (ii) contribute to job creation and economic recovery.
