This report discusses the remarks delivered by Paul Wolfowitz, President of the World Bank. He convened a Global forum in Washington, DC, on February 2007, to discuss strategies, programs, and policies for Building Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) capacity to promote sustainable growth and poverty reduction in developing countries. The forum was organized around case studies of specific STI capacity building initiative in developing countries. He focused on the following specific issues and themes: a) Reducing poverty and achieving the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs); b) Upgrading technology and capturing the latecome’s advantage; c) The role of Research and Development (R &D); d) Gender; He concludes saying that hope this produces more good ideas, your subject is innovation so innovate and do it successfully.
