The aim of this project is to increase access to infrastructure and urban services in Lomé. The project will set up drainage cleaning and rehabilitation to reduce the number of people affected by periodic flooding in the poor neighborhoods of Lome. It will also rehabilitate about 5.2 kilometers of secondary roads in Lome to increase access to currently isolated areas of the city. About 750 persons will be affected by the project and compensated. These persons will be involved in the compensation program so they will know the process and their rights. Compensation will be either in cash or in land. All affected people will be compensated as soon as possible.
