Directory of World Bank depository libraries 1997 (English)

In the course of its development, the World Bank undertakes numerous projects involving research, analysis, and data gathering. The World Bank Depository Libraries Program helps to promote dissemination of the resulting publications through the participant libraries. This program is targeted toward developing countries. Therefore, only one library is appointed in each industrial country, except in densely populated metropolises. The directory is listed by country. Each entry provides detailed information as follows: city name, postal code, name of organization, street address, mailing address, telephone number, facsimile number, telex, electronic mail address, world wide web address, hours of operation, name of Director, name of Librarian, date the library joined the program, and internal Bank computer code. It also includes the selection criteria for the World Bank Depository Library Program and an application form for the program.
