The objective of the Wind Power Development Project for Egypt is to develop infrastructure and business models for scaling-up wind power in Egypt. The closing date is proposed to be extended from December 31, 2017 to June 30, 2019. The extension represents the second extension resulting in an accumulative closing date extension of 42 months beyond the original closing date of December 31, 2015. The first closing date extension was from December 31, 2015 to December 31, 2017 following the June 2014 project restructuring to utilize the loan savings. The extension of the closing date will enable the project funds to be fully disbursed by the proposed extended closing date. Project commitments as of end-October 2017 are about 54 percent with disbursements at about 37 percent. Revised disbursement forecast, based on 100 percent commitment.
