In response to the new demands that the novel coronavirus has placed on water and sanitation providers (WSPs) in emerging markets, the World Bank Water Global Practice, with support from the Global Water Security and Sanitation Partnership, has developed the “COVID Financial Impact Assessment Tool for Water and Sanitation Providers,” a financial planning tool to help such WSPs quantify the financial impact on their operations and, make evidence-based justifications for additional funding as a response to the pandemic to maintain and expand water resources during this critical period, regardless of the source of that additional funding. This document is the user guide for this tool.
