Poverty, Gender, and Displacement : A Policy Brief (English)

The first Sustainable Development Goal to end poverty in all its forms by 2030 pledges to leave no one behind. This commitment includes the over 80 million people—one percent of the globe’s population—who have been forcibly displaced. The majority—some 48 million—are internally displaced within their own countries. Forced displacement creates many hardships for those affected and is associated with higher risks of poverty.
