On September 14, 1951, International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) Board of Governors adopted resolution number sixty-six. It was resolved that the Governor for Brazil shall be elected Chairman, and the Governors for China, France, India, the United Kingdom, and the United States shall be elected Vice-Chairmen of the Board of Governors of the IBRD, to hold their respective offices until the election of officers of the IBRD takes place at the close of the next annual meeting.
