The development objective of the Dam Rehabilitation and Safety Improvement Project for Vietnam is to improve the safety of prioritized dams under the Government's Dam Safety Program to protect downstream communities and assets. Some of the negative impacts and mitigation measures include: (1) set up resettlement action plan; (2) well perform the plans for community health management, communication, community health consultation, and gender action plan; and (3) publicize information, explanation responsibilities, and supervision in order to mitigate the conflicts which may arise and other risks, improve investment efficiency, and social significance of the project.
