On February 26, 1979, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Board of Governors adopted resolution number one hundred and six. It was resolved that by accepting membership in the Corporation, the Republic of Botswana shall subscribe to 29 shares of the capital stock of the Corporation at the par value of $1,000 per share. Before accepting membership in the Corporation, the Republic of Botswana shall pay $29,000 to the Corporation in full payment of the capital stock subscribed. Before accepting membership in the Corporation, the Republic of Botswana shall furnish to the Corporation such information relating to its application for membership as the Corporation may request. The Republic of Botswana may accept membership in the Corporation pursuant to this resolution until June 29, 1979, or such later date as the Board of Directors may determine.
