The Palestinian Partnership for Infrastructure Development Multi-Donor Trust Fund (PID MDTF) has evolved to become an integral part of the funding channels applied by the World Bank to support the West Bank and Gaba (WB&G). The PID MDTF complements the other funding sources available to the World Bank Group in the WB&G. The World Bank Group's involvement in the WB&G dates back to November 1992, when it was asked by the cosponsors of the Middle East Multilateral Peace Talks to lead and support a program of economic assistance for the Palestinian people. The Trust Fund for Gaza and West Bank (TFGWB) is the World Bank’s core financing vehicle. A dedicated trust fund (TF) was established to enable the World Bank’s assistance to the WB&G, since the West Bank and Gaza are neither a member of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) nor of the World Bank Group. This annual report focuses on the PID MDTF activities for FY21.
