The objective of the Energy Community of South East Europe (APL-2) Project is to improve electricity market access for consumers and suppliers through increase in the quantity, quality, reliability, safety and efficiency of the bulk power transmission system, and strengthen capacity of the institutions to participate in the regional electricity market. The closing of the project will be extended from December 31, 2011, until June 30, 2012. All major installation works are expected to be completed on site and all project funds will be disbursed by June, 2012.This will be the second extension of the closing date and will result in a cumulative extension of over two years from the original closing date (February 28, 2010).
