Cash social transfers, direct taxes, and income distribution in late socialism (English)

The author analyzes the impact of direct taxes and cash social transfers on income distribution in Bulgaria, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, Poland and Yugoslavia in the years before the collapse of communism.
