On September 8, 1980, the International Finance Corporation (IFC) Board of Governors adopted resolution number one hundred twenty. It was resolved that, by accepting membership in the Corporation, the Republic of Maldives shall subscribe to 4 shares of the capital stock of the Corporation at the par value of $1,000 per share. Before accepting membership in the Corporation, the Republic of Maldives shall pay $4,000 to the Corporation in full payment of the capital stock subscribed. The Republic of Maldives may accept membership in the Corporation pursuant to this resolution until December 30, 1980, or such later date as the Board of Directors may determine.
