The paper questions whether the Environment Action Programme (EAP) for the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (ECA) region impacted for a cleaner environment in the region, arguing on the evidence of air pollution, and drinking water contamination. Estimates of recent environmental trends in ECA suggest that it is necessary to focus policy initiatives, and investments even more clearly, tackling a small number of key environmental challenges in the region...
