Growth remained robust in Mali in 2019 despite the exacerbated violence in the northern and central regions. Real GDP growth reached 5.1 percent in 2019 (1.9 percent per capita) compared with 4.7 percent for the previous year, thanks to buoyant economic activities in the still secured southern regions.
