WTO ministerial meeting : global review for aid for trade by Robert B. Zoellick, President, The World Bank Group (English)

This speech by Robert B. Zoellick, President of the World Bank, was given at the United Nations in New York in November 2007. He talks about the global review for aid for trade. He highlights seven elements of this program. (i) increase country programs on trade and competitiveness; (ii) intend to provide more resources for infrastructure; (iii) expand our trade finance services; (iv) plan to expand our assistance in trade facilitation and logistics; (v) improve and expand our training and technical assistance in strategic areas; (vi) accelerate work to produce indicators for trade and competitiveness; and (vii) continuing to invest in developing knowledge on how to harness globalization for growth and overcoming poverty.
