Human capital is central to the World Bank Group's efforts to end extreme poverty by 2030 and raise the incomes of the bottom forty percent of people in each country. The vision of the Human Capital Project (HCP) is a world in which all children reach their full potential growing up well-nourished and ready to learn, attain real learning in the classroom, and enter the job market as healthy, skilled, and productive adults. With over sixty HCP countries represented, the 2020 Annual Meetings Human Capital Ministerial Conclave held on October 8, 2020, is being viewed as a resounding success and a model for other high-level virtual events. Each speaker shared unique views and experience, creating by the end a set of effective policy approaches that will allow countries to protect and invest in people across regions and levels of income.
