The objective of the Economic Institutions Capacity Building Project is to assist in strengthening the capacity of East Timor in evaluating economic options and designing and implementing economic policies through the training of key East Timorese staff. The project components consist of six courses to be offered for Timorese staff coming mainly from the Central Fiscal Authority (CFA) and Central Payments Office (CPO): Foundations of Applied Economic Analysis parts 1 and 2; Public Expenditure Management, Budgetary Processes and Project Analysis; Government Accounting Systems; On the Job Economic Analysis and Policymaking; and Compilation of Main Macroeconomic Aggregates.
