The report, The Economy of Libya, prepared October 1958, was prepared mainly based on published material and not on any mission from the World Bank. The report is a background piece that discusses a short history of Libya, the structure of her economy, pattern of development, and ends with a statistical appendix. Very little analysis is done due to the nature of the paper, and the fact that a bank mission had yet to visit Libya in 1958.
