Development committee closing press conference by Jim Yong Kim, Christine Lagarde, and Marek Belka (English)

This address was given by Jim Yong Kim, President of the World Bank, Christine Lagarde, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, and Marek Belka, Chairman of the Development Committee, at the Development Committee Closing Press Conference in Washington, DC on October 12, 2013. They each give opening remarks. They take turns discussing two goals of the development committee: ending extreme poverty; and promoting shared prosperity. The strategy is to drive all the activities and resources to meet these two goals. Ms. Lagarde adds that they are also focusing on the low-income countries, the small and fragile states. They conclude with a question and answer session.
