China - Fourth National Highway Project (Vol. 4 of 8) (English)

The National Highway IV Project includes the construction of (i) Tucheng-Changsha section in Hunan; (ii) Zhengdian-Tucheng section in Hubei; as well as (iii) interconnecting road programs in both provinces. For the Hunan portion, impacts of noise pollution will be mitigated by setting up acoustic barriers, building fencing walls and courtyard walls. Operation time of machines with intensive noise sources will be adjusted. Air pollution will be reduced...
