The objective of the Ethanol Clean Cooking Climate Finance Program Project of Madagascar is to commercialize ethanol to 100,000 households for a period of 5 years. Being therefore an important activity of the World Bank, the elaboration of an Environmental and Social Management Framework (ESMF) is required. Thus, the objective of this mission is to establish a process of sorting and selecting environmental and social that will allow the project implementation unit to identify assess and mitigate potential environmental and social impacts of the project activities from planning to exploitation. For the socioeconomic impact of the program, it includes the risks of accident and health risks, fire and explosion hazards, increased transmitted diseases, disruption of the social environment / risk of social frustration in case of non‐use of local labor, noise, visual and olfactory pollutions, solid and liquid waste, which may result in disease risk, and inflation in the implantation areas of micro distillery.
