Partnering for Gender Equality : Umbrella Facility for Gender Equality - Annual Report 2021 (Inglês)

In 2012 the World Bank Group (WBG) established the umbrella facility for gender equality (UFGE), a multi-donor trust fund dedicated to advancing gender equality and women’s empowerment through experimentation and knowledge creation to help governments and the private sector focus policy and programs on scalable solutions with sustainable outcomes. The UFGE funds research to expand knowledge, provide proof of concept for innovative approaches, help Bank teams and clients understand what works and does not through rigorous impact evaluation, and bring ideas to scale. These investments are public goods that complement WB resources to incorporate diagnosis of gender gaps in country strategies and actions that address them in operations. The progress made to date will not have been possible without the generous contributions from the governments of Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Iceland, the Netherlands, Norway, Republic of Latvia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, and Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. This report provides highlights of activities under the UFGE from July 2020 to June 2021.
