Kyrgyz Republic - Third Global Partnership for Education Project : environmental assessment (Inglês)

The objective of the Third Global Partnership for Education Project for Kyrgyz Republic is to increase equitable access to pre-school education, and to establish conditions for improving its quality. Negative impacts include: contamination from waste materials, clogging of drainage works, dust, noise, accidents, and debris. Mitigation measures include: (1) protecting soil surfaces during construction; (2) providing adequate waste disposal services; (3) ensuring proper disposal of oil and other hazardous materials; (4) controlling dust by sprinkling water; (5) implying restrictions to certain working hours; and (6) training workers on appropriate methods for handling asbestos materials.
