Tunisia - Social Protection Reforms Support Project : Tunisienne - Projet D'appui Aux Reformes de la Protection Sociale (Francês)

The development objective of the Social Protection Reforms Support Project for Tunisia is to strengthen institutional capacity to design social protection reforms and improve targeting of safety net programs. The project has three components. The first component is subsidy and safety net reform support to finance consultant services, workshops, and goods to support the reform process. It has following three sub-components: (i) technical assistance to inter-ministerial working group; (ii) development of a unified database and targeting system; and (iii) consensus-building and communication. The second component, strengthening social security analysis and planning will finance consultant services, workshops, and goods to provide technical assistance for building institutional capacity to analyze and develop consensus on an integrated reform plan for pensions and health insurance. The third component, project management and monitoring will finance consultant services and goods to support the project implementation unit (PIU) in managing the project and monitoring project-related activities and outcomes. This component will also entail support to ensure: (i) all project activities and tasks are executed, (ii) coordination among all actors involved in project implementation, (iii) fulfilling and monitoring of procurement and fiduciary requirements and audits, and (iv) monitoring and evaluation of project outcomes and intermediary results.
