Rwanda - Electricity Sector Strengthening Project : Resettlement Plan (Vol. 2) : Resettlement Action Plan (RAP) for Kigali EPC–Overhead Line (Inglês)

The development objective of the Electricity Sector Strengthening Project for Rwanda is to enhance the operational efficiency of the electricity utility and increase electricity access. Some of the negative impacts and mitigation measures include: (1) compensation based on the size, location, and the annual crop yield of land temporarily affected or forgone rental income during the period of loss of access; (2) cash compensation based on type, age, and productive value of affected trees; (3) cash compensation based on the type, age, and market value of the mature crop in the scarce season, for the remaining period of the tenancy or lease; and (4) cash compensation based on the type, age, and market value of the crop in the scarce season, whichever is greater.
