Uzbekistan - Additional Financing for the Second Rural Enterprise Support Project : environmental assessment (Inglês)

The objective of the Additional Financing for the Second Rural Enterprise Support Project is to help ensure that the project for World Bank financing is environmentally sound and sustainable and that the project interventions are in compliance with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Negative measures include: dust, air pollution, noise pollution, water quality, soil erosion, ecology, waste management, and natural habitat. Mitigation measures include: a) dust prevention and protection of workers, personnel and the public; b) protection of workers, personnel and the public; c) promotion of integrated water management, institutional support and system rehabilitation; public awareness; d) promotion of diversity in farming practice and local landscape, and ensure environmental component measures; awareness campaigns; and e) traffic control, road maintenance and repair.
