The development objective of the Second Land Administration Project for Ghana is to consolidate and strengthen land administration and management systems for efficient and transparent land services delivery. Some of the negative impacts and mitigation measures include: (1) material stockpiles will be bonded and covered with tarpaulin or an approved material for erosion ponding; (2) workers of the lands commission and Eusbett Hotel will be notified at least 24 hours ahead of any excessive dust and noise generation activities; (3) noise generation activities and delivery of supplies will be undertaken over the weekends and before 8.00 am and after 5.00pm; (4) empty paint and solvent containers will be collected and kept in a well ventilated store room with a paved floor and returned to suppliers to be re-used; (5) the site will be hoarded to prevent unauthorized persons from accessing the work areas; (6) provide warning, mandatory, prohibitive, and directional signs to guide site workers and visitors who will access the project building during the construction phase; and (7) a code of conduct will be prepared for contractor’s employees to inform them the sanctions for rape, defilement, and other illicit sexual affairs.
