Remarks prepared by A.W. Clausen, President of the World Bank before the council on foreign relations (Inglês)

These remarks were delivered by A.W. Clausen, President of The World Bank, before the Council on Foreign Relations in New York, New York on September 23, 1982. President Clausen discusses how American interests are served when the United States provides strong, generous leadership in international economic affairs. He discusses that at the Annual Meetings a convergence of views was reached on how to recover non-inflationary growth. Recovering non-inflationary growth would involve disciplined economic management by national governments, liberal international trade and reliable flows of financing to developing countries.
