This paper details explains the panel session examined country experiences and discussed the results achieved from the application of tobacco taxation as a policy measure to reduce harmful behavior for health, and prevent ill health, premature mortality and disabilities due to tobacco-related diseases while raising fiscal revenues and reducing health care expenditures. Annex 1 includes the agenda of the session.
