This report reviews the Bank's evaluation activities in FY88, as they relate to the Bank's ongoing and future operations. The first chapter discusses evaluation in the context of the reorganized Bank, highlighting two issues that have been of particular concern to the Bank's management and the Board: the effectiveness of dissemination and feedback, and the growing backlog of Project Completion Reports (PCRs). Recent activities of the Operations Evaluation Department (OED) are discussed in chapter II, while chapter III reviews ex-post evaluation in the International Finance Corporation (IFC).
