The World Bank's role in Asian development : remarks by A. W. Clausen, President, the World Bank before the Asia Society (Inglês)

President Clausen discusses economic growth in Asia. He talks about how the World Bank has had and will continue to have a creative and catalytic role in the economic progress of a wide spectrum of Asian countries. He goes on to talk about the progress many of the countries have made. In twenty years, Japan has gone from being one of the Bank's largest clients to one of the Bank's largest backers. President Clausen calls Japan the World Bank's "model graduate".
