The objective of the Additional Financing for the Health Sector Enhancement Project for Bosnia and Herzegovina Bosnia and Herzegovina is to enhance the health system efficiency by expanding and enhancing the family medicine model of primary health care, building management capacity in the sector and strengthening the policy making process through the development and implementation of a system for monitoring and evaluating sector performance and addressing inefficiencies of the sector. Negative impacts include: dust and noise pollution, asbestos, contaminated soil, construction waste handling and replacement of materials containing asbestos and other hazardous substances, replacement of materials containing asbestos and other hazardous substances, and storage. Mitigation measures include: 1) construction works are limited to five days a week and only day shift; 2) machinery needs to be attested and calibrated for certain levels of noise; 3) dust from demolition and transport of construction materials and waste will be minimised using water, reduced speed of transport and covering of loads; 4) small amounts of hazardous waste are expected, and it has to be separated from the solid waste; 5) all parts that are recyclable need to be separated from the non-recyclable waste and transported to appropriate locations, accompanied by appropriate documentation; 6) construction site needs to be cleaned and all residue and waste materials need to be disposed in accordance with clauses contained in specifications; and 7) burning of waste at illegal depots is strictly forbidden.
