Young men in Barbados are 6 percentage points more likely than young women to
be out of employment, not in education, or in training. Men are 13 percentage
points more likely than women to have vulnerable work arrangements. Although declining,
Barbados’ adolescent fertility rate is almost 5 times the average for countries in the same income group. Only 33% of firms report having female participation in ownership.
